Our Story

China Camera Style was born in 2015 as a personal project by Theo to document his discoveries at Xing Guang – Shanghai's legendary camera market. What began as a personal collection of camera photography soon evolved into something much more.

Upon returning from Germany in 2017, Theo transformed the project into @chinacamerastyle, inspired by similar initiatives like @tokyocamerastyle. His unique approach focused not just on the cameras, but also on their owners – celebrating both the mechanical beauty and the human connection to these film cameras.

Today, China Camera Style has become a visual archive of analog photography culture in China, connecting enthusiasts worldwide through their shared passion for film and vintage equipment.
